He was physically and mentally abusive. His fave thing was to grab me by my throat, shove me against the wall and lift me up enough where my feet would not touch the ground. By the time I was 19, I remember him saying "You've changed! You are not the same girl I married!!!" Of course I was not. I was growing up.
I'm very glad I am away from him, but he did teach me a lot. Give anyone younger growing room. Don't put your hand on them to keep them at a certain level that you think they should be. He wanted me to stay 16, no way I could. I"m not even the same at 34 as I was at 32.
Grow, learn, live and love. Going through those 4 years of hell was actually worth that lesson. But I wish no one else would have to learn a lesson in that fashion.
Now when I'm asked that question, sometimes I nearly pop out "Tim". Just because he was my husband and it's expected. But I do catch myself. I'm still learning about love, that was no where near it.

This year I've been busy!
Last month 3339666 and I robbed a bank (-50 points). In August I caught a purse-snatcher who stole mommeeof9's purse (30 points). In September on a flight to Colorado Springs, I stole the emergency flight information card (-40 points). Last Wednesday I gave psychomom1974 a Dutch Oven (-10 points). In November I helped looselips67 hide a body (-173 points).
Overall, I've been naughty (-243 points). For Christmas I deserve a spanking!
